Saint Gallus Convention Tapes is a Dortmund, Germany based band playing blues-driven, rampant psychedelic rock. Bass, drums, guitar, bluesharp and vocals are melting into a variety of trippy and grooving sounds while the band moves between self-interpretations of blues classics, overflowing jams and original compositions.
Wonderlamp Records is proud to announce today’s release of digital single “Drought” by Saint Gallus Convention Tapes. The lyrics are reminiscent of ancient Anglo-Saxon magic spells. Hypnotic music provides the door to a world fearful and unknown, yet very much your own – your subconscious – your own terra incognita. Maybe it’s a trick – more magick than magic – who knows!?
Look out for the full album on LP/CD/Digital coming May 8, 2020 on Wonderlamp Records (a subdivision of AgrarBerlin distributed by Fenn Music and believe digital).
We are glad to announce that one of our songs – the Earth-inspired jam “Down the Road” is featured on the soundtrack for “Valley of the Leftovers” alongside great artists like Ryan Lee Crosby, Raindance Kid and others. There will also be an adaption of the movie’s theme song by our singer and guitar player Blind Joe Black. The german independent movie is a dark comedy by Eike Weinreich and Alexey Hermann.
